Amputee Cat Gets a New Lease On Life When He Starts Wearing His New Bionic Legs
Oscar’s story starts with a terrible accident and ends with a cat who refused to stay down. After losing both back paws in a field harvester, he needed a major rescue just to get moving again.
That help came from vet Noel Fitzpatrick, who fitted Oscar with prosthetic legs and gave him a real shot at life on four feet. The results were immediate, and Oscar wasted no time proving he wanted to use them.

The feet were a great fit for Oscar, and the cat was so happy that he began climbing, jumping, and running around the vet's office, eager to test them out. He was so active on his new feet that the vets had to restrain his movements, blocking off parts of the office with rolls of paper to encourage the cat to rest and recover from the surgery.
Noel Fitzpatrick did an amazing job with Oscar's legs; he not only gave a small cat the ability to walk and enjoy life, but he even went as far as to wrap the feet in duct tape so that they were black, matching Oscar's coat.
Oscar did not waste a second.
