Birds That Mate for Life and What “For Life” Really Means
Some birds don’t just “pick a partner,” they lock in a whole long-term plan, year after year. The phrase “mate for life” sounds romantic, but it hides a messy truth: the bond can be social, genetic, or both, and those two things do not always match.
